The Ensemble

Control Group meets on a regular basis to train and generate content for upcoming work. We draw from techniques and styles that are idiosyncratic to Control Group as well as from the expertise and experience of current members. Control Group is constantly redefining itself to address the interests of current members and the contemporary possibilities and challenges of live performance. Historically we have trained in techniques and styles including Viewpoints, Suzuki, Muscle & Bone, Grotowski, Laban, and many without names. 

 

The Shows

Control Group puts up one major show each semester and multiple "happenings" as impulse dictates. There are a few secret rules that we follow strictly in designing a show, but a Control Group show is a totally unpredictable and unrepeatable experience for every audience member.
